Bruce Willis Buried Alive

Famous Serbian movie director Emir Kusturica organized funeral and buried movie tapes of well known Hollywood hits "Die Hard". At the funeral, Mr. Kusturica held the speech to outgoing Bruce Willis with the words "May he long be remembered". So called priest (played by No Smoking Orchestra singer, Nele Karajlic), asked the Lord to forgive all Bruce's sins committed in the movies and "rest in piece" stuff. If you take a careful look to the gray haired gentleman with sun glasses, you will recognize Nikita Mikhalkov, the famous Russian movie director. The whole thing happened in Serbia during the movie festival, in Kusturica's own ethno-artistic village of "Kustendorf".

Grotesque. I did not expect such lack of a good taste - not from Kusturica. I mean, I get the point: Kusturica hates expensive movies for a cheap fun. That is his choice and I dig that. I also understand he gave the funeral to the movies the way he thinks they deserve. But the prayer for Bruce - I mean, c'mon... Playing around and abusing The Church rituals to announce the war against action movies genre? It is both stupid and against the Third Commandments (You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain). Possibly, Kusturica who has recently accepted Christian Orthodoxy did not have the time to learn those ten essential sentences. But, let me ask you Mr. Kusturica, are you running out of good ideas?
